Altech focuses on integrated projects focusing on :
2. Research and Development
New Water Treatment Plant
Developing courses (2012 - 2014) of a new water treatment unit focused on the same basic philosophy that govern our current products (standalone treatment and gravity works without energy) but having a higher operating rate.
This new water treatment unit will integrate the technical electrochlorination and electrocoagulation. Additional elements such as pumping devices operating on the basis of alternative technologies are also being developed.
Other
ALTECH continuously working on improving its products so that they are best suited to the technical and socio-economic rural areas in the South.
ALTECH also has references in hydraulics having patented and developed with OURY professor Ulg a heat pump for heat recovery in high yield from either a hydraulic turbine or a wind turbine either.
Finally, ALTECH studied and automation projects for various private compagny.
3. Design office
ALTECH is also an experienced design office.
To illustrate, throughout 2012, Altech participates in the development of a master plan in Rwanda in the vast drinking water and sanitation program in the southern province.
Furthermore, Albania, Altech had 2007 master plan for drinking water supply, sanitation and waste management in the Albanian town of Divjaka and 9 outlying villages.
In the Republic of Guinea, Altech has conducted a study to identify 93 sites for receiving Hydropur equipment. Another study concerning the implementation of rural biogas units was carried out in Benin, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire, and a study on the treatment of solid and liquid waste to slaughterhouse composting and biogas in Egypt.
References to these specific studies and other are available in the "Our projects" of this website.
Altech also conducted technology transfer studies for water treatment equipment Hydropur Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Guinea as well as Bangladesh.
Finally, Altech also studied and performed the first embodiment of the complete automation of the experimental fish farming CERER (Center of Studies and Research of Residual Waters of the University of Liege) at the Tihange nuclear power station (Belgium) and as fish farming "Piscicol" with, for the latter project, funding from the Department of Energy & Environment of the Walloon Region.
Altech always performs a feasibility study before each installation (Hydropur, biogas and alternative energy.). These studies are generally carried out in close cooperation with our local partners and beneficiaries villagers.
4. Training
Training in the field of water, village water and our facilities are conducted regularly in our facilities on demand, and on the ground at each of our facilities. In each country where installed water treatment plants, Altech provides training for local technicians to Hydropur technology are real transfer of technology and skills that are part of the social and solidarity action of our company.
