Currently, WHO estimates that 80% of diseases encountered in developing countries are waterborne and that they are responsible for 50% of infant mortality in the world. Water, when poor in quality, can become a major source of transmission of life-threatening diseases. Altech's mission is to prevent the contamination of drinking water in order to counter the related health problems and to reduce child mortality.
The main area of application of Hydropur® is the water purification for rural communities in developing countries and is 100% energetically autonomous.
The electrolysis system of PAC units produces a sodium hypochlorite (bleach) low concentration solution from a salt-water solution through an electrode and an electric current, powered by solar pannels.
Chloropur
Chloropur is a water purification tool. It is placed upstream of the water supply and it treats water prior to storage or distribution. The system is 100% autonomous.
